The Open Platform (TOP), a key developer in Telegram's Web3 ecosystem, has secured $28.5 million in Series A funding at a $1 billion valuation. The round was led by Ribbit Capital and Pantera Capital, marking TOP as Telegram's first Web3 unicorn. The equity-only deal saw Ribbit acquire 4% and Pantera roughly 1% of the company.
Founded in 2023 by Andrew Rogozov, TOP drives blockchain innovation on The Open Network (TON), Telegram's official infrastructure. Its flagship product, Wallet in Telegram, is expanding beyond Russian and Asian markets to target U.S. and European users, with compliance as a Core focus.
